Some friends from Burkina Faso played a show here, and showed the audience what a deep groove was. I think it was the first time most of the crowd had heard the drums so up close and personal. It felt like you were inside the drum!

As they say, the gig is up. Sky Burial was the first bands to play here. We really enjoyed hearing their songs like Filthy Sanchez, and Those Were The People Who Died, but now Lance is off to greener concrete in NYC, and Brian is off to get married to Kitty. This is a shot after their last gig. Adios! The UnnamablesThe Unnamables may not have a name, but they're starting to sound like a band. Here's a recent bootleg from a Friday night. The song is called "Alligator Bogaloo" by Lou Donaldson.

It's always nice to throw a party. But it's even nicer to throw a party when it's for a good cause. Alita organized the bands and DJs, we got Corona to donate some beers, and we provided the space. The party rocked, and now some little orphans have extra blankets and diapers to last through the winter. Captain DJ Fresco
Flora brought in some cool friends, and DJ Fresco asked if he could run home to grab some albums and spin his own breaks. He doesn't have any chance to spin in the army. He's a captain and will be out in two months, and his dream is to come back and spin a killer hip hop party for his Taiwan U friends here at the Living Room. Cool. DJ Shiuan
