A guy walks into a bar...Tonight I was behind the bar, and had an enjoyable evening long conversation with a guy named Jeff Falcon. Jeff was a big time martial arts guy who spent about 15 years in the HK movie business. I googled Jeff Falcon later to see what movies I'd seen of his, and the one that popped out was a great flick called "Six String Samurai." Hilarious movie! It turns out I've probably seen a half dozen of his movies on the bus to Taichung. You never know who will walk into a bar and ask for a drink. JOLIE說上週四 實驗劇場日。 ZACH一夥人 整個大瘋狂! 印象中, 他們讀一些書本,有氣質。
一起唱 每個人臉上掛著的 那天我腿快斷了,我記得。
The Twin Identical TwinsThe Twin Identical Twins came to the Living Room this evening and told their amazing story to about 100 people at the bar. After dozens of beers, the truth comes out! The Twin Identical Twins were not born, but they were created as a freak of nature. Their father, Clark Kent, cheated one night on Lois Lane, and out of that amazing night, The Twin Identical Twins were created. One carries a double dick, while the other inherited all the brains. Guess who is the lucky one? Twin Identical Twin #1 likes the group "Zenga" and "The Raggende Mannen", while Twin Identical Twin #2 likes "Babik Reinhardt" and"Marco Borsato," and all of them love "Frans Bauer"!!!! Their life water is called "Grolsch."
Gary then, Gary nowOur friend Gary turned 50 at the Living Room recently. We had a couple of drinks, played some music, and talked about the view. Gary also brought along a photo he found when he was 1 minute old. This is Gary at 1 minute and counting:

"Will you marry me?"親愛的,嫁給我好嗎??93年8月27日情人節前夕,
OrientedOriented held a happy hour here. We met lots of interesting people from different walks of life. We even met a submarine salesman (no not the kind you eat). Nice pictures are posted here on the Oriented site.
Registration Day Poem9/11 was a patriotic day here at the Living Room. We provided voter registration (thanks to Tammy) for local Americans who wished to register to vote in the upcoming presidential elections. John J was one of the first people to stop by, and while having dinner he wrote down a poem on top of our table about how he felt to be an American.
America: Where is the love baby? I'm an American (and not a very good one I might add ). I registered to vote on this day in the Living Room - I knew I had to, I think of both my grandmothers - one from Italy - one from Ireland - both of them orphans who immigrated to America so long ago - and in their memory I shall dedicate my vote. If I was ever going to be a good American - today was the day I stood up to be counted. I've been out of the "system" so long I doubt if anyone in the Federal government knows that I exist, a political hermit, a rowdy member of the silent majority. I'm no longer going to be faceless, nameless and powerless. My "1" little vote may only be a single drop of water against the rock of injustice - however it shall fall on election day. For my grandmothers who slaved in low paid jobs, who left the countries of their mothers - I shall vote for them. For my uncles and cousins who served in the armed forces in 3 wars - proving that they were "real" Americans - I shall vote. I love so many thing about America: Central Park in Autumn, The Blues, Baseball and the NFL, Hoagies, Apple Pie, Philadelphia cream cheese, Pacific Coast Highway, Harley Davidsons, Fender Guitars, Pontiac G.T.O.'s, July 4th picnics, the Lincoln Memorial, the Appalachian mountains, cajun food, Chicago Blues, California sunsets and Humboldt marijuana, Hobo poets, nameless surfers, I love the street preachers in North Beach, the Grand Tetons, the sand at Cape May and the hot Santa Ana winds, I love blue jeans, the ferry from Okerkroke Island, driving to or from Las Vegas through the desert at night, the smell of pumpkins the day after Holloween, I love the national parks, and most of the American saints: Mark Twain, Walt Whitman, Jack Kerouac, Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, Bessie Smith, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jerrerson, Black Elk, Pontiac, Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull, Nate Scott, Muhammed Ali, Groucho Marx, Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King, Lenny Bruce, Malcolm X, Hank Williams, Nikolai Tesla, Charlie Byrd Parker, Emerson and Thoureu, e.e. cummings, Gene Kelley, John Coltrane, Link Wray - father of the power chord and 1/2 Pauite Indian, Muddy Waters, William Penn, Jimi Hendrix, and of course our poor, broken father of our Republic- Abraham Lincoln. I love as much about America as any American does, Maybe I just love bits of America not the entity as a whole, I'd hate to lose those things - maybe my memories hold these "bits" in a sacred amber - however I do love them. For the ghosts of the saints, the land that we have so abused yet still remains sacred and beautiful, and for my grandmothers - I shall vote for the entire world, to keep this giant experiment called "America" alive, free, compassionate and Just, Today I've become an American. Hot salsa actionDaphne held a party for Black Pearl's 50th birthday. It was a Thursday jam night, and this was the first time we heard Pearl sing. Equally impressive was this hot salsa action...
Helen on the boards
Getting ready to scream
This is Tiff. She's preparing some lyrics before a gig. We think she could have played a part in the Blair Witch Project. She's in a band called Residual who plays here regularly. Tiff is really into a style of underground music called "screamo." What is screamo? Think you are fit for screamo? Take this test and find out how screamo you really are. Brian and Kitty get engaged
Congratulations Brian and Kitty! Good luck Josh!
Josh frequents our Thursday jam sessions, and left recently for L.A. to study jazz piano. We hope he comes back soon as Herbie Chancock... Triple Birthday Bash
Not one, not two, but THREE birthday parties at the Living Room tonight! Mickey turned 22, Jo turned 22 + something, and Jack turned 42. Mickey had his first tequila shot ever. Jo was dressed to kill, and Jack passed out at 12 after we finished the tequila bottle and seven bottles of wine. Outstanding food from the kitchen! Happy Birthday!! Christian's 30th BirthdayOur friend Christian turned thirty here at The Living Room. He couldn't drink too much because the next day he was asked to shoot a Lord of the Rings commercial for the Taiwan Lottery. This means that in a few weeks everyone in Taiwan will wonder who that tall Swede is, and ask, "Why does that guy have a fish on his cell phone?"
